Arlington City Council will hammer out a lease agreement with the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday night. The city wants clarity on the lease extension involving AT&T Stadium.

According to the city, back in April, the council approved a master agreement with the Cowboys to extend their lease at the stadium through 2055 – the lease was set to expire in 2040. That agreement also came with plans for improvements.

Now, city leaders want to clarify how much the city will contribute to the actual costs of maintaining, operating, and managing the stadium. City documents show the Cowboys would fund and complete specified improvements by 2043.

Under the April agreement, the team would invest at least $750M, and the city would contribute up to $273M over 20 years.

The city estimates that the Cowboys will generate around $9.7B in economic impact over the next 30 years.
