For the first time ever, gluten-free snackers can enjoy the buttery bliss of a Ritz Cracker.
On Oct. 19, the snack company officially launched Ritz Gluten Free Crackers in Original Flavor after years of customer requests. The certified gluten-free cracker is scalloped-edged and circular like the OG, but gluten-free.
Those with gluten allergies or sensitivities or celiac disease are celebrating the announcement online:
Ritz’s Gluten Free Crackers will be available first at Walmart and Albertsons starting October 2026. It then hits retailers nationwide starting February 2027, and an 8-ounce package will be available for a suggested retail price of $4.49.
Olympia Portale, senior director, core crackers and head of savory portfolio strategy at Mondelēz International, says fans have been asking for a gluten-free version for years, and their snack-time wish has finally been granted.
“RITZ® Gluten Free Original crackers deliver the same great taste consumers love,” she said in a press release, adding that the crackers contain no artificial colors or flavors.
Ritz follows other snack companies that have launched gluten-free versions in recent memory: Oreo in 2020, Cheez-It in January of this year, and Goldfish in August.
