Stoup Brewing celebrates 13 years with dunk tank fundraiser

One of Ballard’s staple breweries is turning 13, and they’re hosting a dunk tank fundraiser to celebrate.

On Saturday, Oct. 24 Stoup Brewing (1108 NW 52nd St) will host “Dunk Us for Democracy,” an anniversary party plus fundraiser for Seattle Indivisible.

Stoup Brewing opened in October 2013, back when the Ballard Brewery District was just getting started.

“We’re celebrating this milestone the only way we know how: with beer, community, a little chaos—and a dunk tank,” Stoup co-owner Lara Zahaba told My Ballard.

Zahaba says that members of their brew crew, taproom crew, and Stoup owners will take turns in the dunk tank to raise funds for Seattle Indivisible, which will be on site tabling throughout the event with information and resources about voting.

“Everyone is invited to take their best shot, cheer on their favorite Stoup humans, and celebrate 13 years of beer and community with us,” she says.

Stoup will also have latest beer releases Time to Vote IPA and Nightmare on Eldo Street IPA, along with the last of their Fresh Hop Fiend Beers ciders and wine spritz cocktails.

The event is Oct. 24 from 12 – 4 p.m.
